My weekend

I had a pretty good weekend.

Went back home again to see the family. The kittens are doing well, they're still very tiny, but are moving around and playing now.  They're so cute!  I'd put up some pictures of them here, but as I'm running System Mechanic 6 as I type this, I don't want to overtax my system.  As it is, it looks like it'll take a day and a half to fully complete scanning and repairs.  Let's hope it does the trick though, and eliminates all of my nasty runtime errors and generally make my computer run faster.

My brother was moving into this house that he is renting.  It's the kind of house that most people wouldn't think twice about renting, but he really needed someplace, and I guess that's the one he's going with.  It will get him out of the situation he was in back at the apartment, so it's cool. In all actuallity though, it really wouldn't be that bad a house with some good fixing up.  From what I've heard about it, it used to have holes all over in the floor and walls, as well as not have any celeing, plust some cracks in the roof where plants were growing in.  It's more liveable now, but still needs a lot of work done to the walls.

Bro also got a copy of Twighlight Princess on the GameCube, so I spent much of the weekend playing that (as well as trying out Dungeon Seige 2 for the PC).  Twighlight Princess is awesome.  It's what Zelda on the GameCube should have been. I just made it past the first dungeon, so I can't say much yet about it overall, but it seems to be a quality game, even without the motion sensor gimmics it gets on the Wii. So yeah, I'm loving Nintendo right now, for actually bringing that out on the Cube.  I really didn't think they were going to, but I guess they felt like they owed it to their fans.  Dungeon Seige was ok. Generic PC RPG, I suppose.  I didn't get very far in that one either, but I like how the level system works. You fight like whatever class you want, and if you keep at it long enough, you'll specialize in that class's fighting style.  You level dynamically like this in melee, combat magic, nature magic, and ranged as you play the game.  They recommend that you choose a class and stick with it as being a jack of all trades weakens your character, but I'm going to see how much I can stick my character with on a skewed experience table.  Don't really know where she'll end up being strongest in.

All in all, nice relaxing weekend. It looks like this coming week will be busy, but I sure hope it isn't!
